What To Pack: NYC

by Tiffany Paul

Oh New York...otherwise known as the city that never sleeps. This city is absolutely brimming with things to do, people to see, and places to be. If you’re thinking of taking a bite out of the Big Apple sometime soon, you should know that October is decidedly the best time in the Fall to visit. The intense summer heat is just cooling down, but the snowstorms are still months away. The trees are at that point of turning golden & you can bet Central Park is a stunner in the Autumn months. Don’t despair if you’re heading to NYC in the Summer, instead scroll down for that packing collage!

In a city known as the fashion capital of the country the last thing anyone wants to stand out as is a tourist. So, what does one wear amidst all that New York City cool? Start with a coat or jacket. It is always a good idea to pack a light something to keep the chill off ( don’t forget your scarf!) Decide whether that’s going to be a polished, classic trench coat or a cool riding black leather jacket. The next essential is going to be: a pair of black pants or jeans. Taking a pair of bottoms in a basic color will carry you throughout any occasion easily and comfortably. Pair them with a light sweater and accessories, a pair of comfortable boots, and your wanderlusting attitude. For the evening, a little black dress will never fail you. In this case, finding an LBD made of jersey fabric will keep you comfortable and stay wrinkle-free throughout your journey.

If NYC will be the summer destination, pack a shirtdress. It’s easy and just pulled together enough to brunch in and swing by museums after. Or you can keep cool with breathable fabrics like cotton and look cool in a pair of fun, trouser shorts paired with a button-up.  For the evening, switch it up with a little white dress paired with nude heels to elongate your legs.
